Our Story
The Masjid Maarof Story
The original Masjid Maarof was one of Singapore’s oldest mosques, serving the community of Kampong Jawa and Beach Road for 116 years. Built in the late 19th century, it became a central hub for the Javanese community, filled with stories of faith, resilience, and togetherness.
Today’s Masjid Maarof carries forward that legacy, embracing modern needs while staying true to Islamic values. We are committed to being a Tech-Hive of Knowledge, nurturing a community grounded in wisdom, integrity, kindness, inclusiveness, and steadfastness.
